Mark Carrillo

Sacramento COO, Weed for Warriors

Mark Carrillo is a former Marine and the chief operating officer for the Sacramento chapter of the veteran advocacy organization Weed For Warriors. After returning to the U.S. in 2007 from two deployments in Fallujah, Iraq, Mark began drinking heavily to cope with his PTSD. After being diagnosed with acute pancreatitis in 2009, he shifted from indulging in alcohol to smoking cannabis, saying it changed his life. After seeing the positive effects of cannabis use in his own life, with WFW, Mark works to provide fellow veterans access to medical cannabis.
